Absolutely Gutted

26 Dec 2006 Blackburn 1-0 Liverpool - EPL

Liverpoolfc.tv - Liverpool have lost for the first time in eight Premiership matches after a second half goal from Benni McCarthy gave Blackburn Rovers an unlikely 1-0 win in a game that the Reds dominated at Ewood Park on Boxing Day.

I was earlier whatching how unlucky Chelsea was. I laughed when they scored an own goal after leading Reading 2-1, and was so happy watching them struggling to score another to win the game. Since the own goal, Chelsea tried so hard and hurried by time because it's about 5 minutes left but that made Chelsea look even worse. I thought, 'come on Reading, keep the ball and waste the time!' Can't believe after that, I'm watching Liverpool doing this...traced by time and struggled to score... And Blackburn tried everything to waste time..

I feel sorry for Crouchy. He lost his starting chance when he's doing quite well, didn't he. Rafa chose to believe in Bellamy, and that's not a bad decision because Bellamy obviously didn't let him down. But that also means Crouchy or Kuyt should make the way for him. Kuyt, without a doubt, has been brilliant. He creats chances even though he's not scoring. So I can understand Rafa makes Kuyt and Bellamy regular start. But you can't expect Crouchy to come out from bench and make instant differences! He's desperated to get a goal now to fight for his place but has been really unlucky. Even worse, today he started in a game that Liverpool wasn't doing well. You can't blame him and you just feel really sorry for him.
