I started to notice his acting since 'The Beach' (2000), and before that I thought he just has the face. 'Gangs of New York', 'Catch Me If You Can', and 'The Aviator' are all his recent good works. I didn't know he's still young, 31 years old!! I feel that I've been watching his films for ages! Actually I'm not a big fan, but I did watch almost his films. It's not hard to see he's a talented and potential young actor from his early films. Well, glad that 'Titanic' brought him people's attention in 1997, and now finally he's proved himself with the Golden Globe Awards for the best actor in 'The Aviator'.

Mr. DiCaprio is certainly a talented actor. His role as a mentally disabled child in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" is classic, and clearly established him as a remarkable talent. Also, he did a excellent job in Jim Carroll's "The Basketball Diaries". Unfortunately he has suffered from his fame here in the States, and most cannot see him for the actor he is because of his early success. And, as a personal note, as someone who has just turned thirty, it is nice to know that in some parts of the world, that is still considered young. Cheers, and take care.
yeah, you're right. i went back to watch "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and "The Basketball Diaries" after he became famous, and both amazed me!
i still remember that i felt guilty when watching "The Basketball Diaries", as i was not yet 18 years old to watch 'R' films. lol
well, 30 is really young being a sucessful actor in Hollywood i guess.

I though Leo did an awesome job acting in the movie 'Basketball Diaries'.
I really enjoyed 'Man In The Iron Mask'.
