Why It Took So Long?

The question we want to know is: how could it happen in the most powerful country in the world? They are rich, they got resources, and the best facilities, but why it took so long to rescue those victims?

John Rhinehart, the administrator of a New Orleans hospital without power and water, said: "I'm beginning to wonder if the government is more concerned about the looting than people who are dying in these hospitals."
The head of the New Orleans emergency operations, Terry Ebbert: "This is a national disgrace. Fema has been here three days, yet there is no command and control. We can send massive amounts of aid to tsunami victims, but we can't bail out the city of New Orleans."
Let's pray for those who are still suffering and also expect all the aid can be done for them. Human beings should try to be more humble to the nature. When it attack, we know we are just too small and fragile on the earth. Also, how selfish we can be.

the government knew the hurricane was coming, they should have sent in buses to get everybody out.
They didn't really take it seriously at very begining. Geroge W Bush was even still on holiday when it attacked. Pathetic.
Hurrican Katrina is a dark chapter in the history of the US govt.
shameful...just downright shameful.
It will take a long time for these wounds to heal.
