US Open First Round

BBC: Henman & Rusedski make early exit - Britons Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski both suffered first-round defeats at the US Open on Monday.

BBC: Roddick suffers stunning defeat - Gilles Muller of Luxembourg caused a huge upset by defeating Andy Roddick in the first round of the US Open at Flushing Meadows on Tuesday.

BBC: Brave Murray through in five sets - Andy Murray struggled through illness and stifling heat before beating Romania's Andrei Pavel in five dramatic sets in the first round of the US Open.

The 18-year-old Scot was carrying British hopes after Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski lost earlier on Tuesday.

Third seed Lleyton Hewitt defeated former French Open champion Albert Costa in the first round today. Except the stunning defeat of Roddick, well, so far the US Open 2005 is quite good. But, I just can't believe it that there is no Live matches on TV here this year!!

I am so sorry for Henman - I am a huge fan of him. But he is not in his best shape these days.
By the way it was a great start for my country at US Open yesterday - Karatancheva and Maleeva are both through the next round! Nice done, girls!
