No other choice I think. Maybe it's because Real couldn't accept Liverpool's £8m or just a loan deal to Newcastle. If he stayed at Real, he wouldn't have the chance to get on. He didn't even in the squad of their first match in La Liga!

In short, Real want money benefit from Owen.
And Owen just has to give up his favorite team.

I was never an Owen fan. Owen made the initial wrong move with the transfer to Real Madrid. Even after he pleaded to come back to Anfield, he did not get his wishes.

There are several wrong decisions made this season.. I am not saying anything yet as I might be proven wrong.

But not paying that crazy price for Owen was a right move! Only the crazy toons will do that.

We have Cisse and Moro, oh there's still a Crouch?! Walk on REDS, there's much to be done this season than sulking over a crazy lost deal.

I think it will be really hard for Pool fans to watch him playing at Anfield. Because his is not "just one" of the former Pool players, right? He was an icon at Anfield.
