It's true. He is the best player in 04/05 season! Even better than Gerrard. He always works hard, though he is not the focus of media. I didn't know Liverpool was that good at defense before I watched their match in Champions League quater-final second leg against Juventus. And then they beat Chelsea in the Semi-final and got the title with a comeback against AC Milian, which was really unbelievable. I think the key is defense! It's about the determination of winning! And Carragher was an inspiration in defense. (Gerrard was the inspiration in spirit of Liverpool) Everyone will be touched seeing him work so hard. I alomst bursted into tears as I saw him had a cramp twice in the extra time of Champions League final. I thought: " Thank you, Jamie, thank you."
I was really happy to hear that Gerrard and Carragher have both signed extensions to their Anfield contracts. They are the best in Liverpool. Priceless! And Garragher deserves the title of best player of 04/05 season!

In my opinion,Jamie is such a good defender that works hard and always keeps his position well.He has good decisions,determination,and brovery that makes him seldom make mistakes.He is a tough guy that always concentrates at every second.He plays every game in Premier League that is quite hard to do it.But as you know,he has done it and done it well.
As a fan of Everton,he has played several positions including defensive midfielder,left full-back,right full-back,and centre-back now.He can play if the coach needs he to play,that's why I like him so much.
It's a great news that he and Stevie both have signed a new contract.I think these two players will play as Liverpool players and become coachs maybe managers in Liverpool.Their loyality I will not forget.And I hope they can devote their life to the REDS.
Carragher is a great player - he's a big asset to the team.
Gerrard is the man.
Me personally I would have voted for Gerrard.
Gerrard should have earned more votes.
Gerrard is inspiring.
